As part of its
Macroscopic Topology Measurements CAIDA maintains a set of active
monitors distributed around the globe.
Each monitor uses
skitter
to collect topology and Round Trip Time (RTT) information for a set of
IP addresses found in the monitor's destination list. We provide tabular
and geographic views below.
The table view lists all monitors regardless of current status.
For each monitor, the table lists the name, the hosting organization, the
location, the target destination list, and the current status.
The map view only displays currently active monitors. It uses a
java applet to create a world map with each monitor located in the
appropriate geographic location. The color of the node reflects
the number of monitors present at a given geographic location. The
user can choose to label the nodes with either the name of the city,
a list of the monitors at each location, or no label at all.
